The Smart Coach Radar App System has helped me with work on specific areas of my performance that need improvement. The radar gives me immediate feedback on my hitting and throwing to compare velo and form to make timely adjustments. It also allows me to view my progress overtime to make sure I am forming good habits.
2. What is your favorite feature of the app?
My favorite feature, by far, is being able to set the radar and phone app up to automatically record and save the video and velocity for each swing or throw. It doesn't require someone to push the button each time which allows me to focus on my performance and not the radar. The easy set up also let's me practice on my own without needing someone there to hold the radar or record video. I also like that it calls out the numbers so I don't have to constantly look at the radar or the phone screen.
3. How do you find easily uploading videos to social media to be of value?
Being able to upload videos straight from my phone to social media without having to edit or trim the video is a big time saver. It has allowed me to post videos quickly and more frequently, increasing my exposure to college coaches.
4. Why would you recommend other athletes utilize this tech when training?
I would highly recommend athletes utilize this technology to train and monitor progress in throwing and hitting. The pocket radar has helped me increase my hitting velo from 83mph in late March all the way to 90 mph in early June. I'm not sure where those numbers would be without pocket radar. One of the best investments my parents have made for me.
