Bought for kids to track improvement. It's fun to play with and works great. We use the unit on a tripod and Bluetooth connected to my phone to verbally speak the speeds. We are also in continuous mode as I'm the catcher and can't record and catch at the same time. Kids throw too hard now. I'd like to keep my teeth. I have two complaints. 1. Battery doesn't last long. 2. Miro USB to connect a portable battery pack is old style micro USB. We only get maybe 20 minutes of batteries life before we have to swap batteries. We are buying a portable battery pack to attach to solve this issue.

Using the Pocket Radar is very helpful in providing feedback to my players on their throwing and hitting velocities. The Pocket Radar is affordable and easy to use.

I love this easy-to-travel-with radar! Now it is time to utilize a pitching call chart and compare our hits to misses among other criteria we are versatile. Our players can quantify their results using empirical data. The ability to video and record, and store that data is also a wonderful verification tool for recruiters, coaches recruiting, and for players and parents to measure where they stand in the sea of competition. Knowing your numbers is a great tool to inspire. This radar is quite truthful and that 60-plus mark is difficult to achieve. There are glitches when the battery runs low—and those misreads people use—my suggestion. Keep a log and archive and use your average overall when batteries are fresh and/or plugged into a wall to prevent false positives.

I use pocket radar for my pitching training, and it has been effective. If you are looking for a very good radar gun but without burning your wallet, pocket radar is a good choice

Good product! My sons have benefited from it already. I recommend buying an external battery and an adjustable mount to fix it to the leg of the tripod. The Pocket Radar support staff have also been great at answering my questions.

Need a radar speed gun that is accurate and planning on buying this radar gun to help me catch speeders with my police dept 118 so hoping to get this radar gun on my next birthday going to salmanka to gamble and win big and hopefully I’ll get 299$.and 99 cents to get this / this will help me to my very own dispatch that there is a speeder tell dispatch on my cobra rx385 walkie talkies what the speed of moving cars of all kinds I’m hoping it has a piezo alarm to tell me how fast the cars are going :)
